Kangana Ranaut, in her latest post, opened about facing the heat of the pandemic. Ranaut, who admits to being the 'highest tax paying actress of Bollywood', says she's unable to pay her taxes. "Even though I come under highest tax slab pay almost 45 % of my income as tax, even though I am the highest tax paying actress but because of no work haven’t paid half of my last year’s tax yet, first time in my life I am late in paying tax," wrote Kangana Ranaut in one of her Instagram stories on Tuesday.
However, the actress was quick to add that the government is charging her interest on the amount unpaid. "I am late in paying tax but the government is charging me interest on that pending tax money, still I welcome this move. Time could be tough for us individually but together we are tougher than the time," she added.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was all set to have her film Thalaivi released in April. However, due to the onset of the second wave of the pandemic, she and the makers thought it would be in the best interest of everyone if they postponed it. Apart from Thalaivi, Kangana will be seen in Tejas, Manikarnika Returns and also in the untitled film based on Indira Gandhi.
