Dashing director Puri Jagannadh is currently high on the success of his last film iSmart Shankar. Puri was on an off-track until iSmart Shankar and that film's success brought him back in form. Currently, he is prepping up to start shooting for the film Fighter with Vijay Deverakonda as the lead.
The film's shoot will go on floors in January 2020. Vijay will essay the role of a boxer in the film. Apparently, the actor will sport a toned muscular body in the film. It is being reported from the past few days that Puri wants to make it as a pan-Indian film. But, we hear that the director has no such plans as of now and he is only focussed on the Telugu version.
The leading lady of this movie is yet to get finalized. According to the grapevine, Kiara Advani is being considered for the heroine role. Her last Telugu film was Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Both Kiara and Vijay have recently acted together in an ad commercial. Apparently, Puri felt that this pair will be pat for his film. Currently, the talks are going on with the actress and we will get an official confirmation once Kiara signs the dotted lines.
