Madhavan and Sarita are parents to Vedaant, who is already famous in the country. He is a swimmer who has won several awards in India and in several foreign events as well. Recently, Vedaant created history by achieving a new milestone at the Junior National Aquatics.
Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Madhavan said, "Vedaant, I and Sarita realised that he got a lot of attention because he is my child. His achievements are not at par with the fame he is getting right now. He's won a few competitions and still has a long way to go. There are better swimmers in his age group in India. The good news is that Vedaant realises it. He is sanitised from all this popularity in Dubai. And he still gets up at 4 am for his swimming sessions. I tell him, 'with all this popularity, you better get into Olympics' (laughs). I enjoy the fact that he enjoys swimming and we love seeing him doing what he loves. So, I am definitely not putting acting or anything on his mind. He enjoys swimming, business management and economics."
Regarding moving out of the country, Madhavan said, "Back then [late 2021], all the pools were closed in Mumbai. But now, his school is open, so we can't discontinue that. Once he completes his 12th, we'll think about the next step."
