Superstar Rajanikanth watched the movie and praised Madhavan for his debut directorial venture and thanked him for making such a film.

Rocketry traces the life of Indian scientist Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist, and aerospace engineer. In his golden age, he was accused of being a spy and his entire life went under a shadow. For several years, he fought for justice, and the movie traces his life and journey. R. Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect received rave reviews at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Madhavan is also playing the role of Nambi Narayanan in the film.
The film has a promising star cast, including Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, and Ron Donaiche, along with Simran, Rajit Kapur, Ravi Raghavendra, Misha Ghoshal, Gulshan Grover, Karthik Kumar, and Dinesh Prabhakar. Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya made guest appearances in Rocketry.
