Malayalam actor Mammootty took to Twitter to announce his next film on the Occasion of Women's Day. He will be joining hands with Parvathy Thiruvothu for a new film titled Puzhu, directed by Ratheena. Puzhu is extra special because the film will be produced by Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films in collaboration with Cyn-Cyl Celluloid. Puzhu marks the first Dulquer film with his father Mammootty. Announcing the film on Women's Day, Mammootty wrote, "Women’s day wishes. Here is our next project - Puzhu #Puzhu #PuzhuMovie (sic)."
Mammootty and Parvathy's collaboration has raised eyebrows in the film industry. This is after Parvathy's comments against Mammooty's Kasaba. She called the problamatic aspects of the film, which turned into a controversy and left Parvathy at the receiving end of abuse for several months. Though fans retreated after Mammootty launched Uyare's audio in 2019, it still gave an idea that Parvathy and Mammootty have issues because of her comment. Ratheena worked as an executive producer in Uyare. More details regarding Mammootty and Parvathy's Puzhu will be out in the coming months.
