The ace composer made his debut with the 1990 film Manasu Mamatha. He got his big break with the 1991 film Seetha Ramayya Gari Manavaralu. Throughout the 1990s, Keeravani composed music for various hit albums like Kshana Kshanam, Sundara Kaanda, Aapathbhandavudu, Matrudevobhava, Allari Priyudu, and Major Chandrakanth.
