Rishi Kapoor passes away at 67: Priyanka Chopra mourns the loss, says 'It's the end of an era'

As the country woke up to the saddening news of the demise of Rishi Kapoor, tweets came pouring in for the actor. Priyanka Chopra Jonas shares a throwback picture with the actor and wife Neetu Kapoor as she mourns his death. Priyanka wrote, "My heart is so heavy. This is the end of an era. #Rishisir your candid heart and immeasurable talent will never be encountered again. Such a privilege to have known you even a little bit. My condolences to Neetu mam, Ridhima, Ranbir Kapoor, and the rest of the family. Rest in peace, Sir."

The picture that Priyanka shared is from the time when Rishi Kapoor was undergoing treatment for cancer in New York. Priyanka had earlier revealed that she went to meet the actor. The sudden loss of the superstar has shaken the whole industry. His colleague and good friend Amitabh Bachchan says that he's destroyed. Breaking the news of his passing away, Amitabh tweeted, "He's GONE ..! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed!" Rishi Kapoor has been fighting cancer for a few years. He returned back from New York after he got better. But the actor's health deteriorated and was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. The news came after a day of the sudden demise of Irrfan Khan. It's a huge loss to the Bollywood industry in these two days as the two actors left for their heavenly abode.
