After New Zealand became free from Covid-19, it resumed all day-to-day activities including malls and multiplexes. Since all the movies are being released, Golmaal Again, which is the fourth installment of the Rohit Shetty's comedy franchise, is set to re-release in the country. The film has become the first Hindi film to have got a release date post-COVID-19. The Reliance Entertainment on Wednesday tweeted, "The Kiwis are back to theatres and #GolmaalAgain becomes the first Hindi film to be screened post-COVID-199. Cheers to a new beginning!"
The director of the film Rohit Shetty posted about the same on his social media. He wrote, "New Zealand decides to re-release Golmaal Again in theatres making it the First Hindi Film to get a relaunch post-COVID. New Zealand is now COVID free and is opening its theatres on 25th June with Golmaal Again. As it is rightly said - THE SHOW MUST GO ON.”
The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj, and Neil Nitin Mukesh. On Rohit's post, celebrities like Shamita Shetty, Karishma Tanna, Neil Nitish dropped their comments. Meanwhile in India, the cinema houses still remain shut due to the rising cases of Covid-19. Several films like Sooryavanshi, 83, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, and others postponed their release dates. However, others like Gunjan Saxena and Shakuntala Devi are soon to get a digital release like Gulabo Sitabo.
