A boat carrying over sixty passengers on board capsized in Andhra Pradesh’s Godavari river on September 15. The incident took place shortly after the boat left from East Godavari’s popular tourist destination, Papikondalu. Reportedly, 11 people have lost their lives in the tragic accident, bodies of three victims have been recovered so far. Meanwhile, chief minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the matter and all boat services have been suspended in the area.
