Siachen is open to Tourists, declares Rajnath Singh
The Siachen Glacier, which is the world's highest battlefield, has now been opened to tourists, defense minister Rajnath Singh said in Ladakh on Monday.
The defense minister was in Ladakh, along with Army chief Gen. Bipin Rawat, to inaugurate a strategically located bridge across the Shyok River which will provide easy connectivity with the Daulat Beg Oldi sector along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತೀ ಎತ್ತರದ ಯುದ್ಧ ಭೂಮಿ ಸಿಯಾಚಿನ್ಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೂಡ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಬಹುದು. ಯಾಕಂದ್ರೆ, ಸಿಯಾಚಿನ್ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಚಿವ ರಾಜನಾಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂದು ಸಿಯಾಚಿನ್ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ರಾಜನಾಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಸಕಲ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡೋ ಭರವಸೆ ಕೊಟ್ರು. ಸಿಯಾಚಿನ್ ಭೇಸ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ನಿಂದ 18 ಸಾವಿರದ 875 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿರೋ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಭೂಸೇನಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಬಿಪಿನ್ ರಾವತ್ ಜತೆ ಸಿಯಾಚಿನ್ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ರಾಜನಾಥ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಯೋಧರನ್ನ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ರು.
