The campaigning for Maharashtra and Haryana assembly polls ends today. Political parties and candidates are making last-ditch efforts to woo the voters. Both the states will go to polls on October 21 and results will be announced on October 24.
The election will be held for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Over 8.95 crore voters to exercise their franchise in Maharashtra. Election Commission has set up 95,473 polling booths in the state. A total of 3,239 candidates are in the fray in Maharashtra polls, the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena combine is pitted against Congress-NCP alliance.
Elections will be held for 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana on October 21, a total of 1,168 candidates are in the fray. Ruling BJP is fighting against the main Opposition Congress, Over 1.83 crore voters to exercise their franchise in Haryana.
