Indo-French filmmaker Prashanth Nair made a striking debut with the film Delhi in a Day. Then, he made a beautiful film on the Indians' obsession with America, called Umrika. Prashanth then ventured into the digital arena and co-directed a few episodes of Amazon Prime's original series Made in Heaven. Now, he is coming up with his next directorial film Tryst With Destiny. This film is now going to premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival. It is also the only Indian film to screen at this festival this year.

The project features two talented actors playing the leads. Tryst With Destiny features Ashish Vidhyarthi and Suhasini Manirathnam in the lead roles. Sharing the news, happy-man Ashish tweeted, "Absolutely delighted to announce that my next film Tryst with Destiny, an Indo-French co-production written & directed by #PrashantNair will make its world premiere at the prestigious @tribeca 2020!"

The film also features Viineet Kumar, Kani Kusruti, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Palomi Ghosh in the other important roles. It is the story of a billionaire who learns that there are things which money can't buy. The film also shows the life of a lower-caste couple trying to build a new life and a police officer who finds himself outside the law. How everything gets connected and giving the justification to the film's title is the story.

Tryst With Destiny will compete in the genres of Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Tribeca Film Festival starts on 15th April and concludes on 26th April.
