On the special Easter Day episode on Sunday, the participants gathered to play a game called "Egg xiting". But it ended on a poor note after Akhil Marar lost his composure. Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 host Mohanlal stopped the show midway as he felt humiliated by a contestant's statements.
When the housemates brought up the incident in front of the host, Akhil Marar apologized for losing his cool during the task and using vulgar language toward Angelina, Sagar, and Junaiz. Mohanlal also instructed Akhil to give Sagar his captain band. However, when Sagar pressed Akhil for an apology, the latter was certain that he would not comply.
Later, Bigg Boss spoke with Akhil and Sagar in the confessional about the situation. No one attempted to intervene during the conversation since both parties were adamant about their opinions. Bigg Boss further emphasized that Sagar shouldn't have brought up the subject in front of the host Mohanlal.
The host yelled at the contestants and told the staff to cut the line. "I have asked you to give the hand to Sagar and you have thrown. I felt it was disrespectful. I happily came here to celebrate Easter with you all. I travelled 4-5 hours from Jaisalmer, then airport then got a flight and reached here. It has turned out to be an upsetting experience for me. So, I am winding up the show here".
It has been said that this is the first time Mohanlal has lost his composure to this degree and stepped by stopping the show in the middle.
As of right now, Mohanlal and director Lijo Jose Pellissery are shooting their movie Malaikottai Vaaliban. He's also in Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer, which stars Rajinikanth. The actor reunited with Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph for a new film named Ram. For the 2023 release of L2: Empuraan, the follow-up to their 2019 film Lucifer, he will once again work with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
