Akhanda Box Office Collections: Balakrishna’s Film Exceeds Expectations

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest theatrical outing Akhanda is performing exceedingly well at the ticket counters in the regional market and as well as overseas. After reportedly grossing over Rs 31 crores on its opening day, the film has done pretty well on its second day as well.

As per reports, Akhanda has collected a total of Rs 30.95 crores (net collections) at the box office in 2 days, which is the highest tally for any film that has been released in India post the Covid second wave.

The film has collected Rs 21.20 crores net on its opening day and it went on to add another 7.95 crores on its second day, taking the tally to a whopping 30.95 crores in just two days.

The Balakrishna starrer has collected an impressive $500K in the USA in just two days, again another unprecedented feat for a Balakrishna starrer. Reliable reports suggest that the film might be collecting over $1 million through the course of the first weekend, a feat previously achieved only by Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story (post the Covid second wave).

The lukewarm reviews really couldn’t contain the Boyapati Sreenu directorial from putting on a simply outstanding performance at the ticket counters across the globe.

Akhanda is a heavy-duty mass entertainer directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The film has Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles.
