Bholaa Opening Weekend Box Office Collection: The Ajay Devgn Film Takes In Rs. 41.25 Crores In Just Four Days

Bholaa, an action thriller starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, had a strong opening weekend after a rather shaky start at the box office. The movie made Rs. 10.50 crore in its Thursday opening. Rs. 6.50 crore was made on Friday, Rs. 11.00 crore on Saturday, Rs. 13.25 crore on Sunday. It eventually gained Rs. 41.25 crores throughout the course of the four-day weekend. On the percentage front, the trend is positive and shows that collections on weekdays are also holding up well. In comparison to its Saturday take of Rs. 5.95 crores, the movie brought in Rs. 6.58 crore on Sunday at PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.

Through the first four days in India, the three national chains—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis—have brought in about Rs. 21.18 crore, with foreign chains contributing an additional Rs. 20.07 crore. PVR has made Rs. 9.91 crores in revenue, followed by Inox and Cinepolis with Rs. 6.96 crores and Rs. 4.31 crore, respectively. Although being a genre that would typically cater to the single-screen audience in the 2D format, the 3D format has helped the film put up strong numbers at the multiplexes. Gujarat's Rajhans chain has also experienced a recent upswing. At Rajhans, sales increased by 27% on Sunday, going from 20.94 lacks on Saturday to 26.73 lacks.

The destiny of Bholaa will depend on Monday's hold and the trend during the first week, even though the weekend trend was positive and the statistics were respectable. Bholaa will be well-positioned to complete its prolonged first week in the range of Rs. 60 crores with a Monday in the area of Rs. 5 crores. The second and third Fridays of the movie are holidays, so a firm hold on Monday is essential if you want to fully capitalize on them.

The film's future will determine its sustainability, and a stronghold through Eid can help it solidify itself in the direction of being a success for Ajay Devgn and the Team. The long-term goal for Bholaa should aim to reach a century, as that would be sufficient to qualify as an average or semi-hit theatrical success. The extended weekend trend points to fair to good on-the-ground reports, and the Monday after that is when the box office status will be finalized.
