Box Office Collections For Varisu: Vijay's Film Enjoys A Sensational Tuesday And Earns Another 20 Crores Or More In India

With a phenomenal Tuesday at the Indian box office, Varisu helped to finish off the holiday season on a high note. With a very strong hold in the states of Tamil Nadu and Telugu, the movie had its fourth consecutive day at the Indian box office grossing at least Rs. 20 crores. The movie made approximately Rs. 145 crores at the box office in India over the course of seven days.

The movie barely lost any ground in Tamil Nadu from Monday, despite the fact that the "day after Pongal" is usually the busiest day of the holiday period. This can be explained by the fact that film was experiencing capacity issues at the majority of theatres, and when that capacity was reached, demand shifted to the next day. The movie made approximately Rs. 15 crores in Tamil Nadu yesterday, bringing its seven-day total to Rs. 95 crore in the state. Given how well it has done over the past four days and its current trend, the movie should become Vijay's highest-grossing in Tamil Nadu.
