Box Office: Good Newwz running strong on its 8th day on the screens.

Good Newwz, the film that had released on the last Friday of the year 2019 had a very successful week 1 on the screens. It expects to continue in the second week too, going by the numbers, as the movie has managed to earn Rs. 8.25 Crores on Friday, the beginning of week 2. At this rate, the movie is on its way to hitting the 150 Crore mark in no time.

The movie, starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani, has managed to collect a total of Rs. 134 Crore net within 8 days of its release in theaters, as per Box Office India. Good Newwz is still going strong even after 8 days and continues to entertain the audience. There was a drop in the collections from day 1, of course, with a little over 50% on the second day. Also, from day 7, there was only a drop of 20% when the film made Rs. 10.25 Crores the previous day. Interestingly, the collection on the first day of New Year, Wednesday (Day 6) was much higher than Day 1 collection of Rs 17.5 Crore. The film is steadily inching towards the Rs. 150 Crore mark.

The day-wise box office collection of Good Newwz is as below:

Day 1, Friday: Rs 17.5 crore

Day 2, Saturday: Rs 21.5 crore

Day 3, Sunday: Rs 26 crore

Day 4, Monday: Rs 13 crore

Day 5, Tuesday: Rs 15.5 crore

Day 6, Wednesday: Rs 22.25 crore

Day 7, Thursday: Rs 10.25 crore

Day 8, Friday: Rs 8.25 crore

Total Good Newwz Box Office Collection: Rs 134.25 crore

From these numbers, Good Newwz seems to be on its way to becoming a super hit film. The film is Raj Mehta’s Bollywood directorial debut and has managed to grab the attention of the audience pretty early on. The coming weekend is expected to raise these numbers as the movie is not facing much competition at the box office.
