On its ninth day in theatres, Chiyaan Vikram's freshly released film Cobra saw a box office collapse. The movie only made less than Rs 1 crore in India, according to trade reports. This is the lowest point for a Chiyaan Vikram movie in recent history. As new movies have taken over the theatres, it appears like Cobra is in the final few days of its theatrical run.
Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, stars Chiyaan Vikram. On August 31, the action thriller was released in theatres all around the world. As a result of negative reviews and complaints from viewers and critics about its drawn-out and unclear script, Cobra had a difficult start in theatres. After hearing bad reviews, the filmmakers cut 20 minutes from the movie. On its ninth day, Cobra was able to bring in Rs 0.65 crore.
The majority of Indian cinemas opened Brahmastra on September 9 with stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Cobra could be removed from theatres as a result.
Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the screenplay of Cobra was written by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Neelan K Sekar, Kanna Sreevasthan, Azharuddin Alauddin, Innasi Pandiyan, and Bharat Krishnamachari.
Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, and Chiyaan Vikram play the main characters in the action thriller. Key roles were played by Roshan Mathew, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Mirnalini Ravi, KS Ravikumar, and others.
