Ayushmann Khuranna has hit the mark once again in impressing audiences and critics alike with his latest film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The positive word of mouth has worked well for the film. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is currently sitting at a net collection of over Rs. 30.75 crores.
Its an immediate competitor is Vicky Kaushal's horror flick, Bhoot Part 1- The Haunted Ship. Yet the horror film has only made Rs. 16 crores after the first weekend. Khuranna's film which deals with homosexuality and a gay couple has sat incredibly well with fans around the country.
Critics too have praised the film for its take on the issue and the brilliant acting by most of its star cast. The film tells the story of Karthik and Aman who must tackle the issue of homophobia both in and outside their families. This film based on a real-life couple. The film also stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao as Ayushmann Khuranna's parents in the film. The two actors have before joined Khuranna on the sets of Badhai Ho.
