Tamil actor Ilayathalapthy Vijay teamed up with director Vamshi Paidipally for his latest film, Varisu. The film has been released in Telugu as Vaarasudu. The Tamil version of the film released on 11th January.
One of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema today is Ilayathalapthy Vijay, who enjoys a massive fanbase in the state. Every film release of his is like a festival for his fans. This time around, the actor has come up with his latest film for the festival season itself. The actor teamed up with director Vamshi Paidipally for his latest, which has been produced by Dil Raju.
Dil Raju has made his Tamil debut with the film, and so has director Vamshi. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of this film, for which SS Thaman has provided the music. The songs and the background score of the film have been appreciated well by the audience, and turned out to be a huge plus point for the film as well.
Jayasudha, Sarath Kumar, Srikanth, Shaam and Prakash Raj can be seen in important roles in the film. Varisu has managed to impress the Tamil audience, but has failed to generate any buzz in the Telugu states, despite Dil Raju's many attempts. The main reason for this is that the film felt like an amalgamation of many Telugu films. The film released in the Telugu states on the 14th, but has failed to draw any crowds to the theatres. It is not even expected to pick up in the upcoming days, in the Telugu states.
