Kollywood star hero Silambarasan aka Simbu is all set to enthrall the audience with his upcoming film 'Maanadu' under the direction of Venkat Prabhu. After a lot of delays and postponements, Simbhu is finally getting back to the shooting. Initially, everyone thought that Simbhu is not going to take part in the shoot but he finally came back on board. A controversy too took place regarding the film.
Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the female lead in the film. Bharathiraja, S A Chandrasekhar, Premgi Amaren and Karunakaran are playing crucial roles in the film. SJ Surya is also on board for this film. As per the latest reports, Venkat Prabhu is currently shooting a grand song featuring Simbu with Kalyani Priyadarshan in Chennai. 200 dancers are also going to be a part of this song. It seems like the single is going to be a peppy song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The makers have already erected a grand set for the film in Chennai. The shoot is progressing on full swing and the makers want to finish the song as soon as possible and move on to the filming of the talkie part.
Suresh Kamatchi under V House Production Banner is bankrolling this project. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing tunes for this film and Richard M Nathan is cranking the camera.
