The coronavirus outbreak started in China and now it became a pandemic. Pandemic is a situation when a certain thing gets declared as dangerous in multiple countries. Most of us are unaware of pandemic situations and we are now experiencing through coronavirus. There are quite a few movies made on a similar kind of situation and one of them is Contagion. This 2011 Hollywood thriller is now trending all over the world for its similar plot-line to the ongoing real-life situation.
Contagion is the story of a viral pandemic spread through a rare virus which gets discovered from the death of a mother and son. How the United States tries to curb the spread of the disease forms the rest of the story. Even though the film fared moderately well at the box office, the people started relating to it now due to the ongoing coronavirus spread. Many of them are even praising the makers for coming up with the film which was ahead of its times.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this film features an ensemble star cast which includes Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Gwyneth Paltrow. Warner Bros. Pictures had bankrolled Contagion. People who haven't watched it can now catch it on Youtube and Netflix.
There are some other films which deal with the pandemic situation. They all are now getting popular on the internet. Some of them include Perfect Sense, Flu and 12 Monkeys. People are now predicting that the filmmakers may soon make a film with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as well.
