Aamir Khan and the rest of the actors of ‘Lagaan: Once Upon A Time’ celebrated the 21st anniversary of the film at his Marina mansion yesterday. Lagaan is one of the most successful films in Indian cinema, having released on June 15, 2001. It was one of three Indian films to receive Oscar and Academy Award nominations at the time.
Aamir Khan's production has shared a video of the Lagaan team's secret celebrations on social media. The video featured the film's song Chale Chalo, and the entire cast can be seen having a good time. “#21yearsofLagaan;” Aamir Khan productions captioned the video.
For Aamir and the rest of the cast, Lagaan holds a special place in their hearts. In the midst of the epidemic in 2021, the actor hosted a virtual meeting to mark the film's 20th anniversary.
This time, though, the complete star cast, as well as the director, gathered to honor the timeless film. Many celebrities attended the private meeting, including Ashutosh Gowariker, Gracy Singh, Yashpal Sharma, Raghuvir Yadav, Rajesh Vivek Upadhyay, and Daya Shankar Pandey, Rajendranath Zutshi, Raja Awasthi, Suhasini Mulay, Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat, and Amin Gazi.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is waiting for the release of his new film Lal Singh Chadha. Lal Singh Chadha is an adaptation of Forrest Gump, an American film starring Tom Hanks in 1994. Advait Chandran directs the film, Lal Singh Chadha. Advait Chandran made his directorial debut in 2017 with Aamir Khan Productions' Secret Superstar.
