4 Years for Baahubali 2: The Epitome of Indian cinema

Four years ago, on the exact same day - 28th April released a film titled Baahubali 2 which, in a way, altered the course of Indian cinema for good. It shattered many pre-existing records and registered unprecedented numbers at the box offices across the country.

No other film could ever create such anticipation and hysteria ahead of its release and the fact that the opening day collections of Baahubali 2 are bigger than the lifetime collections of many A-lister films starring top actors in the country proves the same.
Baahubali 2 is well and truly a larger-than-life creation which is powered by outstanding performances from the lead cast, exemplary vision and execution of Rajamouli, unprecedented production designing, and exquisite soundtrack scored by MM Keeravani.
At a day and age when regional films were mostly confined to a particular territory be it North India and South India, Baahubali 2 established all-time box office records in almost every state in the country, barring a few. It truly erased the barrier of regional cinema.
The Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, and Rana starrer minted Rs 122 crores nett collections on its opening day and this record is yet to be broken. There is no official update so as the lifetime collections of the film but reports claim it made around Rs 1800 crores in its full run.
Baahubali 2 proved to be more than a fitting sequel to Baahubali which was a smashing success as well.
