1) Starting today, Hotstar will available in three varied plan options - Disney+ Hotstar VIP, Disney+ Hotstar Premium and an ad-supported basic tier
2) Hotstar VIP cost Rs 365 per year. Disney Plus Hotstar will cost the subscriber Rs 399 a year. The subscriber can gain access to Disney content like The Lion King and Frozen II in addition to the Hotstar VIP content.
3) Disney Plus Hotstar Premium will cost the subscriber rs 1499 year in contrast to Hotstar Premium which costs Rs 999 a year. The subscribers can gain access to Disney Plus Originals and latest HBO, Fox and Showtime shows.
4) If one is already a Hotstar user, their account will automatically be upgraded to the corresponding new subscription plan. They will have to pay the revised price while renewing their subscription. And all new subscribers will have to pay the new rates.
5) The upgraded platform will offer more kids content as well. Subscribers will gain access to content from Disney, Pixar and National Geographic. The platform will also allow the parent to switch to a kid-safe mode.
Last but not the least, all in all the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar will provide 250 superhero and animated films apart from more than a hundred series that include Disney+ Originals. The platform is already known to stream a huge variety of regional content and Hotstar Specials.
