National Film Awards held in Delhi after two years. 67th National Film Awards was supposed to be held last year. The jury had to postpone the 67th National Film Awards since they could not meet to watch the films. A standing ovation was given to Rajinikanth, who received the Dadasaheb Phalke award.
Manoj Bajpayee (Bhonsle) and Dhanush (Asuran) shared the Best Actor prize. Kangana Ranaut received the Best Actress award for the films 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' and 'Panga'. Ayushmann Khurrana (AndhaDhun) and Vicky Kaushal (Uri: The Surgical Strike) shared the Best Actor award in 2018.
Priyadarshan’s Malayalam film Marakkar: Lion Of The Arabian Sea won the Best Feature Film. Chhichhore, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, grabbed the Best Hindi Film award.
Manoj Bajpayee said that he will celebrate the award in Kerala. “I am currently shooting in Kerala so have to rush back for my shoot and I will be celebrating this award there. I am thankful to the audience who watched the film and showered their love on this film.”
Meanwhile, Kangana wrote on social media that she is dedicating the award to her parents. “We all grow up with a deep desire to be worthy of our parents’ love, care, and sacrifices. After all the troubles I give my mummy-papa such days seem to make up for all those mischiefs.”
