Born in Ramapuram in Andhra Pradesh, ANR started his career as a theatre artist and made his film debut in 1941 movie Dharma Patni. ANR rose to fame with Maya Lokam movie in 1945 and the actor appeared in so many classic films like Palletoori Pilla, Brathuku Teruvu, Devadasu, Missamma, Donga Ramudu, Doctor Chakravarthy, Prem Nagar, Premabhishekam, etc. Akkineni Nageswara Rao also got honored with Dada Saheb Phalke award and Padma Vibhushan.
