Aamir Khan Attends Prayer Meet For Jain Saint-Scientist

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan attended a prayer meet held in memory of the late Jain saint-scientist Mahendra Kumar. The actor was spotted in a striped grey kurta and blue denims and was seen greeting people at the meet with folded hands. Pictures of Aamir attending the event were shared by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter. In one of the pictures, Aamir could be seen smiling as he unveiled a book. The Jain Community also issued a note about the same. It said, "Aamir Khan pays heartfelt tribute to legendary saint-scientist, Dr Mahendra Kumar ji." It further added that Aamir and the Jain Muni had engaged in deep conversations. The conversations were about Jain philosophies, spirituality, and science.

During the prayer meet, Aamir also spoke about his admiration for Jain principles such as anekantavada, ahimsa, and aprigraha. Producer Mahaveer Jain said, "Aamir bhai paid tribute to the professor-scientist, MuniShree. He launched his upcoming books. He also remembered his insightful conversations with MuniShree and added that he admired Jain philosophies." Jain also commented on Aamir's humility and dedication to learning. He said, "I have never seen him get excited about materialistic things. Instead, he looks to read and learn about various philosophies. He is not in [the rat] race." Aamir Khan was last seen on the big screen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Kareena Kapoor. The film failed to impress the audience at the box office. Aamir announced in November 2022 that he would be taking a break from acting after a career spanning 35 years.
