Aamir Khan debunks news over putting money into wheat bags for Coronavirus relief funds

About a week ago news surfaced on the internet of wheat bags carrying an upward of Rs. 15000 hidden inside for Coronavirus relief donation. Many netizens said that the donation was made by Aamir Khan who did not want to spread the news about his philanthropy. However, the 55-year-old actor has now debunked this news. Taking to Twitter Khan revealed that he is not the person putting money into wheat bags. The bags were on board a truckload of packets of wheat. The bags got sent to Delhi to be distributed to those worst affected by the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown, and that each of the 1 kg packets of wheat had cash worth Rs 15,000 hidden inside.
 
Aamir Khan revealed that he thinks that the news is either false or the Robin Hood just doesn't want to reveal his true identity. Aamir tweeted writing, "Guys, I am not the person putting money in wheat bags. Its either a fake story completely, or Robin Hood doesn't want to reveal himself!

Previously Aamir Khan donated to both the PM Cares relief fund as well as the Maharashtra state government funds. He has also donated to various NGOs and industry workers in Mumbai in these trying times. Aamir Khan also participated in the virtual concert I for India with his wife Kiran Rao to spread awareness and raise relief funds for those across the country who need it most. The couple sang Aa Chal Ke Tujhe and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Ha during the concert.
