Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha is the Bollywood remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump; Owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the team of Laal Singh Chaddha will now have to scout out new locations for the upcoming film shoot
Before the coronavirus pandemic broke out, Aamir Khan was busy shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha at various locations across India. However, the COVID-19 crisis brought everything to a halt. The team of Laal Singh Chaddha has filmed at locations such as Delhi, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Kolkata. The cast and crew were to head to Ladkha next. However, with the India-China tensions in the Galwan valley, the makers canceled the plan in July. They were reportedly scheduled to film in locations like Delhi; Turkey and Georgia were also considered. Now the team has to scout out new locations in order to continue filming in the post-coronavirus world.
Aamir Khan is reportedly quite keen on resuming shooting for the film as soon as possible. So the actor is now working on a new schedule to kick-start work on the film.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the Bollywood remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. Apart from Aamir Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Laal Singh Chaddha marks Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi's Bollywood debut. Aamir and Kareena have previously worked together on films like Talaash and 3 Idiots.
Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film was originally scheduled for a Christmas release in 2020. The film might get pushed to the next year owing to the several delays. Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions are bankrolling the film.
