Aamis becomes the best Indian movie at MAMI International Film Festival

Director Bhaskar Hazarika, who earlier made the acclaimed film Kothanodi, is now back with another striking film called Aamis. This little Assamese gem circled around various film festivals this season and is now screening in the ongoing MAMI International Film Festival. Due to the heavy buzz around it, delegates are thronging into the halls where it is getting screened.

The film showcases an unusual love story between an elderly doctor and a young PhD student. They like each other due to the similarities in their food tastes and that very factor plays a major role in their relationship. Aamis is a bizarre yet moving film and a unique attempt in Indian Cinema. The graph of the movie picks up suddenly and no one can ever imagine it at the beginning of the film.

Many delegates are also terming it as the best Indian film at this year's MAMI.

For those who want to watch it, Aamis is having a theatrical release all over India next month.
