Abhirami Venkatachclam alleges foul play in Kalakshetra issue

Abhirami Venkatachalam hasa acted in Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil version of Pink, and appeared in two seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil. She is an ex-student of Kalakshetra Foundation, which is currently in the news for sexual allegation charges. Students have accused four teachers of sexual abuse, out of which, one man named Hari Padman has been arrested. Abhirami Venkatachalam came out in support of Kalakshetra and supported Hari Padman. She received massive backlash.

“This has happened even before when Leela Samson was the director. The same female teachers called all the students to the practice quarters and in a manipulative way told us to go against Leela Samson. When half of them said no, they tried convincing everyone. However, Leela proved her innocence”, Abhirami told IndiaToday. “I also heard that first year students were in a way bribed by saying that their probation will be cancelled”, said Abhirami. Abhirami further added that no should get molested and if it had genuinely happened to the students, then she would stand with them. She also said that there are charges for students to be manipulated by the teachers, which has happened before. “If you are a responsible teacher, why were you sleeping all these years?”, Abhirami questioned Nirmala who she accused of manipulating the students, all to attain power.
