Actor Bala signs Big B's sequel Bilal; will essay an important role

2007 Malayalam film Big B is one of the biggest hits in Superstar Mammootty's career. It is also considered as one of the pathbreaking films in Malayalam cinema in the gangster drama genre. Now, a sequel called Bilal is coming up for the film. Amal Neerad, who directed the original, is also helming the sequel. Mammotty will reprise his role from the original. Actor Bala, who played a key role in the first part, has also got signed up for this sequel. The shooting of Bilal will begin very soon.

Unni R, Suhas and Sharfu are penning the script of this film. Gopi Sundar is composing the music for the film. We heard that Mamta Mohandas, who was part of the first installment, will also act in this sequel but nothing got confirmed yet. Big B was a super-hit in Malayalam cinema which featured various prominent actors like Nafisa Ali, Manoj K Jayan, Sumit Naval, Shereveer Vakil and Pasupathy. AS the first part was a huge success, a lot of expectations are being put on this sequel Bilal. Mammootty is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film The Priest. Manju Warrier played the female lead in it. This is the first film in the combination of Mammootty and Manju Warrier. It will hit the screens this summer.
