Actor Jojo George will testify on the road blockade organized by the Congress in Kochi to protest against fuel prices. Jojo was earlier called by the police for this. This is to find out who attacked the star from the video footage of the scene.
Police have registered two cases in connection with the clashes following the road blockade. The case was registered for obstructing the road and smashing Jojo's car. Former Kochi mayor Tony Chammany and others have been charged in the case. Jojo has been called in to add more defendants to the case.
Meanwhile, Jojo alleged that he lost Rs 6 lakh after the vehicle crashed. Jojo said he knows the man who hit the rear window of the car. The police did not take any action on the complaint lodged by the Mahila Congress leader. They filed a complaint alleging that Jojo had insulted her. The women Congress activists alleged that Jojo was drunk and abusive. But a medical examination conducted yesterday revealed that he was not intoxicated. The police said that a breath test conducted before reaching the hospital also found that Jojo was not drunk.
Jojo’s car was attacked during a protest conducted by the Youth Congress against the fuel price hike. The actor was attacked by the protesters.
