Ronit Roy is one among the very few tv actors who has a recognisable name in the industry. Roy has appeared in all sorts of tv shows and films over the years. However, that doesn't mean he has not had his fair share of difficulties in the early days of his career.
Speaking to Times of India Roy recalled the time when he debuted in the industry with the famous film Jaan Tere Naam. Roy added saying, "My first film was released in 1992 Jaan Tere Naam which was a blockbuster. It was a silver jubilee and silver jubilee of that day means Rs 100 crore movie of today. My debut film was of that level. 1992 it released and for the next six months, I did not receive a single call. Then I got all kinds of trashy work which I did for three years and around 96 all the work dried up.”
Roy also revealed that he used to walk all the way up to his mother's home even for something as basic as food and regular meals. Roy was commenting on the current situation of many actors who have lost their jobs due to the lockdown. Roy has urged people to take care of themselves and not commit suicide due to difficult circumstances as they are only temporary.
Roy added saying, “I did not kill myself. I am not passing judgment on anybody. Everyone at some point in their life faces a financial crisis. I feel if you are facing a financial crisis then killing yourself is not a solution. I don’t see any sense in taking your life because that can’t be a solution."
In the last one month tv actors Manmeet Grewal and Preksha Mehta both took their lives due to difficult circumstances
