Siddhant Chaturvedi is best known for his role in the hit film Gully Boy. He has another, not so hidden, talent apart from acting. His not so hidden talent is writing poetry, the results of which he often posts on his Instagram account.
In a recent interview on Komal Nahta's chat show, Chaturvedi revealed that his poetry might be popular now, but it wasn't accepted the first time he wrote a poem. He said that the first time he wrote a poem, it was to a girl he liked. The actor said that the girl threw it away when she realized it was not entirely original. “I wrote my first poem for a girl I liked. She read it and it was very much inspired by William Wordsworth’s Daffodils (I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud). She kind of figured it out and she was like, ‘Okay, you’re a copycat’ and she threw it away. That was my first,” he said.
On the work front, the actor seems to have a lot on his hands. He recently told IANS, “I have other projects lined up. So, yes I am now jumping from one character to another and living their lives. Ek time tha main vela tha, ab toh bahut kaam kar raha hoon (there was a time when I was jobless, now I have lots of work). God is kind.”
The actor had appeared on two web series - "Life Sahi Hai" and "Inside Edge" before being cast in Gully Boy.
The Gully Boy actor now will appear in the sequel to the 2006 film Bunty Aur Babli The film stars Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Sharvari Wagh. He will also appear alongside
Deepika Padukone and
Ananya Panday in Shakun Batra's next film. The film is set to be a "domestic noir."
