Actor Vidyut Jammwal acquitted in 12-year-old assault case!
Actor Vidyut Jammwal on Monday was acquitted in an assault case filed against him in 2007 for allegedly smashing a bottle on a person's head.
Vidyut, last seen performing daring stunts in the film Junglee, has been acquitted in a 12-year-old assault case. Reacting to the verdict, Vidyut said, "The action hero only does ‘action’ in the movies is all I'll say." He was accused of smashing a bottle on a person’s head in Mumbai in the year 2007.
“During the trial, we were able to establish that there was absolutely no incriminating evidence against the actor and the court has accepted our submissions today and acquitted Jammwal,” said his lawyer. No evidence was found against Vidyut and his friend, Harishnath Goswami who was also accused in the case.
This actor attained fame for his flexible moves and action stunts in 'Commando.' He was also seen in some Telugu movies like Shakti and was popularly known for his antagonist role in the movie 'Tupaki,' starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal which was directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
