The NH 7 actress Anushka Sharma has donated a lot of money with her husband Virat Kohli to the PM Cares relief fund for the fight against Coronavirus pandemic. Now the actress has taken to Twitter to condemn the violence against healthcare workers who are at the frontlines in the fight. She said that she is deeply saddened and disturbed upon hearing news about instances of violence.
Her statement on Twitter reads, "Deeply disturbed reading some reports about how coronavirus patients and even some medical professionals who are in the frontline taking care of such patients are being discriminately treated."
She has urged her fans and followers to respect each other at such trying times and take care of each other in such difficult times.
She wrote, “ At times like this, it is important that we care for each other and are extremely sensitive to the suffering of others."
She also added saying, "Let’s not treat fellow citizens with disrespect and stigma. It’s time to stay united and stand united."
Previously doctors in Indore reported about being attacked when they went for a regular check-up. Doctors and other healthcare workers have also reported discrimination faced by them by their house owners who no longer want a doctor as a tenant. Many state governments have warned people against such actions through legal action.
