Ad Astra, Moothon, Wet Season are day one picks for MAMI 2019 International Film Festival
The 21st edition of MAMI International Film Festival kick-starts today and a set of interesting films like Ad Astra, Moothon, Wet Season and others are lined up to entertain the movie buffs.
Alright! the day is here for the opening ceremony of MAMI 2019 and there are less than 24 hours for the screenings of the movies. The day one of the festival screenings features some acclaimed films from all over the world and let's have a look at them.
One of the most anticipated movies of the year Ad Astra is kick-starting the MAMI. The screening will get a full house audience for sure. Then there is British drama Sorry We Missed You directed by Ken Loach. There is a Turkish documentary called Honeyland which deals with the beekeeping traditions in the Macedonian mountains. Cannes contender It Must Be heaven is also getting premiered in MAMI tomorrow. This comedy has also managed to grab a lot of attention.
The road trip movie Ali, The Goat and Ibrahim, Singaporean teacher-student relationship drama Wet Season and Indian film Kasturi are also the major picks of us on day one.
The opening film of the festival, Moothon, starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, is having its Indian premiere tomorrow.
