ADIPURUSH Gets A New Release Date

Adipurush, starring Prabhas, is one of the most awaited films. Sunny Singh, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon are also cast as key actors. Om Raut, who earlier directed Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, is in charge of directing it. The movie will also be shown in IMAX and 3D. Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair are the financiers. Earlier, the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions of Adipurush were scheduled for release on January 12, 2023.

The release date for the mythical film has now been adjusted, though.

Adipurush's director, Om Raut, announced that the movie will now hit theatres on June 16, 2023. The following was the official statement, which was published on social media: "Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotions to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going. - Om Raut."

When the Adipurush teaser was first released, many fans were dissatisfied with the movie's visual effects. The teaser was shown to fans and journalists on October 2 in Ayodhya. A massive sum of Rs. 500 crores is apparently being used to produce the masterpiece.

The main character of the movie is Raghava (Prabhas), who goes to Lanka with his sena, which also includes Laxman and Hanuman, in order to save his wife Janaki (Kriti Sanon) from Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan), the man who abducted her.

Om Raut also responded to the criticism of the Adipurush teaser, telling Indian Express that while he is disheartened by the responses, he is also not surprised because the movie was created for big screens and the teaser can only be cut to a limited extent rather than being scaled down for mobile screens. The director said, "That is something I can’t control”. The teaser needed to be put on YouTube in order to reach more people, he continued, adding that if he had the option, he would have never done so.
