After scoring a stupendous success with Bigil, Vijay took no break and started shooting for his upcoming film. Tentatively titled as Thalapthy 64, this film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who scored a thumping hit recently with Kaithi. The first schedule of the film got recently wrapped up in Delhi.
Currently, the team is camping in the Shivamogga area of Karnataka to shoot the next schedule. The team will can a few key sequences featuring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi at the Shivamogga prison, in this schedule. The makers got permission to shoot from December 1st to January 18th at the jail, but the shoot got delayed due to the late progression in the set works.
The team is now making a few changes to the set of Upendra's Bhuddhimantha 2 and will use it for this shoot. The new schedule will most probably begin in the second week of this month. Malavika Mohanan is playing the female lead in this movie. Actress Andrea Jeremiah is essaying an important character. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and Xavier Britto is bankrolling the project. The makers are planning to release this untitled film during Diwali 2020. Stay tuned for more updates on it.
