It got recently confirmed that Samantha Akkineni has signed the Tamil film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Speaking about the film, the actress said that it is a classy romantic comedy with a blend of entertainment quotients. She added that the script has excited her very much and she is looking forward to joining the shoot soon.
Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal is being directed by Vignesh Shivn. The film also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the other lead roles. It will be a triangular love story where Samantha and Nayanthara fight to win Vijay Sethupathi's love. This is a first time working experience for Samantha with Sethupathi, Vignesh Shivn, and Nayanthara. Meanwhile, the trio had already worked together for the film Naanum Rowdydhaan in the past.
Samantha refused to open up more about her role in the movie but concluded by saying that it will definitely be a fun ride for sure. The regular shoot of Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal will begin in April. This is Samantha's immediate Tamil film after last year's Super Deluxe. The makers are planning to release it this year itself. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for this romantic entertainer. Samantha was last seen in the film Jaanu, co-starring Sharwanand.
