A few months back, Malayalam Superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran said that Ram Charan has bought the Telugu remake rights of his directorial film Lucifer. For those who are unaware, Lucifer is an industry hit in Malayalam. It got directed by Prithviraj himself and it featured Mohanlal in the lead role. Currently,
Ram Charan is planning to remake this film with
Megastar Chiranjeevi as the lead. The latest reports suggest that Sujeeth will helm this project. Soon after this, director Bobby might do a film with Chiranjeevi. Bobby is popular for his directorial films Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Jai Lava Kusa and Venky Mama.
According to the sources, Charan wants to take the remake of Lucifer on floors first, once Chiru gets done with Acharya. Paruchuri Brothers are already making the necessary changes to the script of the film. Initially, the makers planned to rope in other directors but finally, Saaho director Sujeeth was locked in to make this movie.
Director Harish Shankar too planned to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi but he is busy with
Pawan Kalyan's project and will be free only in the second half of next year. Thus, Charan is now planning to sign up for Bobby as the director for Chiru, after the Lucifer remake.
Currently, talks are going on with the director and he might get onboard very soon. If he signs the film, it could become a huge project in Bobby's career as Chiranjeevi plays the lead role in it. Meanwhile, Chiru is planning to release Acharya by the end of this year. The film is being directed by Koratala Siva.
Kajal Aggarwal is playing the female lead in it. Ram Charan is bankrolling the movie along with Niranjan Reddy.
