After Mahabharata and Ramayana, DD National is bringing back Shah Rukh Khan's Circus and Rajit Kapoor's Byomkesh Bakshi

Circus was one of Shah Rukh Khan's very first appearances on national television.

After Mahabharata and Ramayana, DD National is bringing back Shah Rukh Khan's Circus and Rajit Kapoor's Byomkesh Bakshi

Amid the ongoing lockdown in the country, DD National is bringing back some of our favorite shows from the 90s. After the Broadcast and Information minister, Prakash Javadekar announced that Ramayana and Mahabharata will be returning to daily television fans from the early 90s are ecstatic.

 
Now DD National has announced that they are bringing back Shah Rukh Khan's 1989 series Circus as well as Rajit Kapoor's Byomkesh Bakshi. Byomkesh Bakshi is a detective fictional story which first came out in 1993. The show is a cult classic. Taking to Twitter DD National announced, "Shekharan is back on DD National! Friends, stay at home and watch your favorite Shah Rukh's Circus - TV Series (1989) - From March 28 at 8 pm,"
 
Shah Rukh Khan made one of his very first tv appearances on national television in his 1989 show Circus. The show also starred Renuka Shahane, Pawan Malhotra and Ashutosh Gowariker. Gowariker is a celebrated filmmaker in Bollywood now. Vicky Aziz Mirza directed Circus.
 
DD National also announced the re-release of Byomkesh Bakshi on twitter. The tweet reads, " MUST WATCH -Rajit Kapur in a role with which he will be associated forever! Detective show Byomkesh Bakshi from March 28 at 11 am only on DD National."
 
Prime minister Narendra Modi earlier announced the beginning of a 21-day lockdown in the country to prevent further spread of Coronavirus. The novel Covid-19 virus has infected more than 600 people in India and claimed over 10 lives. On a global scale, the virus has infected millions.
