Director Rakesh Gopan is well-known for his 2014 directorial film 100 Degrees Celsius. This film was a women-centric thriller that featured five female leads. Now, it looks like Rakesh has flipped his idea and is coming up with four male leads in his upcoming film Quit India. This film features Anoop Menon, Murali Gopy, Ranjith and Baiju Santhosh as the lead heroes.
As suggested by the title, we hear that the film is going to be a political thriller. Speaking about it, Rakesh says that even though it is a political thriller, they are trying to make something different in terms of the presentation. Anoop Menon and Baiju play the roles of politicians in the movie. Ranjith will be a bureaucrat and Murali Gopy will essay the role of a power broker in it. Rakesh said that all four characters will have equal importance in the film. He added that it was not his intention to make a film with four heroes after making a film with five heroines. He said that it just happened that way.
Shibin Francis has written the script of this film, who earlier worked for Dulqer Salmaan's Comrade In America and Asif Ali's Underworld. Bijibal is the music director of this film. The shooting of Quit India will begin by the end of this month.
