Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni first teamed up in the film Ye Maya Chesave. Gautham Vasudev Menon directed the film. Samantha marked her debut in Tollywood film industry with the film while Naga Chaitanya scored his first-ever hit in a career. Later, the couple went on to act in a lot of films including Majnu that released recently. Even in Oh Baby starring Samantha, Naga Chaitanya made a surprising cameo in the film. Now, the Tollywood industry buzz states that the actor is going to act with Samantha once again. If the buzz is true, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya will act in Bangarraju again.
Bangarraju is the prequel to the super hit film Soggade Chinni Nayana. Soggade featured Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi and others in the lead roles. Nagarjuna played a dual role and one of the roles is Bangarraju. Bangarraju is the film that will get an official launch on Ugadi. The entire film runs around his character and we have Naga Chaitanya playing a key role. Already, the news about Chaitanya's presence on the project is not new to the audiences but the latest addition is Samantha. This is the second time that Sam and Chay are acting with Nagarjuna, after Manam.
Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, Annapurna Studios will produce the film. Ramya Krishna is a part of the project too. Anup Rubens already started working on the music of the film and locked a couple of tunes. The regular shoot of the film begins soon and the movie might release for Sankranthi next year.
