Aha buys the digital rights and Star Maa acquires the satellite rights of Shekhar Kammula's upcoming film Love Story

After delivering a blockbuster with the 2017 drama Fidaa, director Shekhar Kammula took nearly three years to come up with his next film. He is currently working on his next project Love Story. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, this film is in the final stages of its shoot. The industry sources claim that the movie's satellite, digital and dubbing rights got sold for a massive amount of Rs. 16 crores. Allu Aravind's Aha bought the digital rights and Star Maa bought the satellite rights of the movie.

This is a big buy from Aha. The newly launched platform is expanding its database by acquiring the digital rights of many upcoming mainstream films. Now, Love Story has joined that list. 16 crore rupees are big-budget and the producers might have recovered more than half of the film's budget through these rights.

Love Story was actually slated for the release during summer. They were shooting final portions in March. That is when the lockdown got announced and the works got put on hold. The shoot will resume once the lockdown gets over. The makers will announce the new release date once the shooting gets done. This is Naga Chaitanya's first film with both Shekhar and Sai Pallavi. On the flip side, both the director and actress have worked together earlier for the film Fidaa. Love Story is being produced by Narayan Das Narang and P. Ram Mohan Rao. Pawan Ch. is composing the music for it.
