I still remember the date — June 3, 2019 — when he called me. I’ve always been a fan of him. When I started as an actress, there was this one week in 2017 during which I saw all of his films. I’d seen some of his movies before, but when I had this goal to understand cinema, it was his movies I started watching as I’d read a book on him and also really liked the person behind the films." The shooting of Ponniyin Selvan has been wrapped up.
