Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi is currently one of South India's most demanded performers. She made her Mollywood debut in the film "Nyandukalude Naattil Oru Idavella." She played Poonkuzhili in Mani Ratnam's epic movie "Ponniyin Selvan". It released in theatres two months ago. She made an enduring impression with the character. The actress just today saw the release of "Gatta Kusthi" her Tamil movie with Vishnu Vishal. It is a lighthearted sports drama that got released in theatres in both Tamil and Telugu.

 
The actress refuted claims that her pay was increased after the release of the movie "Ponniyin Selvan". She spoke abour it during an interview for the Gatta Kusthi's marketing in Chennai. “Those are only rumours. Cinema is completely a director’s craft and I only ensure I do what is required of me,” she said in the interview.
 
Aishwarya was most recently seen in the Malayalam movie Kumari. She recently ventured into film production through Gargi starring Sai Pallavi.
