Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Dazzles at Ponniyin Selvan 2 Promotions in Mumbai

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gears up for Ponniyin Selvan 2 promotions in Mumbai. The second installment of her 2022 blockbuster, directed by Mani Ratnam, is set to release this week. Aishwarya was spotted in a stunning ivory anarkali suit. She paired it with an emerald necklace and her signature makeup and hairstyle. In a video shared by the paparazzi, she posed confidently against the movie poster for the media.

Aishwarya thanked the media and folded her hands before moving away. The entire cast of Ponniyin Selvan 2 was present at the event, and Aishwarya interacted with director Mani Ratnam, sharing a warm hug. Fans praised Aishwarya's fresh look, with one commenting, “After a long long time she looks pretty here.” Another added, “Kitni khubsurat h aish (how pretty is she),” and one more called her the “Prettiest woman.” On Monday evening, Aishwarya was seen in an all-black outfit with a multi-colored designed dupatta as she left for promotions. Paparazzi reported she was at Manish Malhotra World. Ponniyin Selvan 2 features Aishwarya in a dual role as Queen Nandini and her mother Mandakini Devi. The sequel picks up where PS-1 left off, with Ponniyin Selvan facing death as Queen Nandini's lookalike (Aishwarya) jumps into the sea to save him. PS-2 focuses on the flashback story of Vikram's character, Aditya Karikalan, and the bond between Ponniyin Selvan and Oomai Rani, played by Aishwarya. Actor Vikram told ANI, “We have been telling this everywhere like the first part was more like an introduction. All the characters coming together. As we touch every character like this is the character, this is the background. So now we had come to that mid part, now we have all the emotions, plot, suspense, so this is the interesting part.” Ponniyin Selvan 1 was adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1950s Tamil novel of the same name. The film stars Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Lal, and Sobhita Dhulipala, alongside Aishwarya.
